An Esperanto Vocabulary

by Mr. C. Veness, Miss E. W. Tegg and Mr. J. H. Sullivan

with some updates by Don Harlow

In a box at ELNA I found this delightful little book, An Esperanto Vocabulary. It is not dated, but appears to be a predecessor to the now-out-of-print Nixon Esperanto Vocabulary. It describes itself as "a list of nearly 3,000 words in Esperanto, compiled for the Society of Esperantist Teachers by Mr. C. Veness, Miss E. W. Tegg and Mr. J. H. Sullivan". It's 100 narrow pages long, and will fit in a vest pocket with ease.

I have taken the liberty of adding a small number of words that would have been appropriate in the original book, and making a few corrections, indications of particular "Anglicisms" (terms that are not used in the United States), or updates to usage.

I don't feel restricted to the original vocabulary, and if you have any suggestions for additions you'd like to see, please let me know by sending an e-mail here.
