The same walk I did almost a month before. This time I was accompanied by my daughter Esther and my son David.
How to Get There
Follow the route given in the similar hike of March 10, 1996.
Hiking directions are as given on March 10, 1996. The day -- at least in the ravine -- was much brighter than on the previous hike, and while, as I suggested before, sunlight gets into the ravine only with difficulty, it was bright enough that everything in the ravine was suffused with a light, bright green color.
Webb Creek was a bit lower than it had been in early March, but still in spate.
Leaving the ravine and coming up over the hills above Stinson Beach, though, we entered a dense fog, a foretaste of the summertime stratus that dominates the coast of north central California from spring through autumn.
